Founded in Italy in 1981, Saeco has grown successfully to become an international group operating in many world markets. Today Saeco International Group is a company which designs, manufactures and sells domestic and professional espresso coffee machines, automatic hot and cold drinks machines, snack vending machines and products in the “climate” and “steam” segments.

Its noteworthy capacity for innovation, a critical factor in the group’s success, has always been accompanied by an extraordinary ability to anticipate the market’s future needs, leading it to reach remarkable targets. The exploitation of synergies is another strong point in the group’s production, distribution and sales and is part of its fundamental strategy, as in 1999 when it acquired control of Gaggia S.p.A. owner of the historic brand of professional coffee machines. At present the group holds the leadership in Italy in the domestic espresso coffee machine market (over 65% share) and is also the European leader with more than 30% of the share.

Significant cultural changes and new lifestyles are leading to an increasing consumption of espresso coffee in the majority of the world’s nations and new markets are opening for business.
